Rod Romero, President & CEO

Rod has been helping Rescue Missions for nearly 25 years:

  • Helping build Brewer Direct from the ground up.  As VP of Client Service, Rod provided oversight on all campaigns and took point on strategic discussions for the agency.
  • Managing Grizzard Communication Group’s largest, most successful Mission clients for nearly ten years as a Senior Account Executive.

Rod is a consummate client service specialist with a Business Administration degree. A graduate of Musicians Institute in Hollywood, he still finds time to play music and has served on worship teams at his church. Rod is also an active board member of Glendora National Little League where he coaches baseball.


Steve Carpenter, VP of Client Services

Steve has over two decades of fundraising experience, having served as the director of development at the Memphis Union Mission in Memphis, Tennessee for over 20 years and most recently as the development manager at Agape Child & Family Services, also in Memphis. Steve has a wide variety of experience in the rescue mission and nonprofit world, including direct mail fundraising, digital fundraising, capital campaigns, media and community relations, database management, grant writing, and special events.

He is excited to be a part of the Delia Martin Agency team, where he has the privilege of serving rescue missions and the life-transforming work that they do.

Steve and his wife live in Piperton, Tennessee, and they have a grown son.


Angela Collett, VP of Client Support

Angela Collett is the Vice President of Client Support for Delia Martin Agency. She has a decade of experience employment and leadership in a century’s old Christian Non-denominational Church. She worked for two and a half years as the Business Development Coordinator at a half billion dollars a year Electrical Corporation before signing on here at Delia Martin.

Angela lives in Glendora, California, with her husband Dave and they have three grown children.


Cindy Courtier, Creative Director

“THRILLED!” When Rod Romero told me he was opening an agency to work directly with non-profit organizations, I was delighted. When he asked me to be a part of Delia Martin Agency, I was THRILLED.

I’ve worked with some really great people over the years. Russ Reid at RRC. Randy Brewer at Brewer Direct. Bob Hemmings at the original Smith/Hemmings. In each case, my greatest thrill has been creating fundraising programs with people who genuinely care about and are directly involved with their clients.

Now, I have the opportunity to do so again.


Penny Fitzgerald, Art Director & Brand Specialist

As a multidisciplinary Art Director, specializing in brand strategy and design, she has preformed branding, direct mail, and web design for a variety of clients – from entertainment giants to non-profits and more.

While Penny’s experience is broad across industries, she has in-depth knowledge in the field of design and high-impact, high-profile marketing communications.

During Penny’s 22 years of designing and packaging brands, she has created murals for schools and hospitals, developed web and marketing materials for medical practices, branded non-profits such as LA Works and Neighborhood Youth Association, and designed websites for public institutions, such as the Hawaii Community Foundation.


Shanda Bulquerin, Data Specialist & Content Web Designer

Stepping into the business of faith-based fundraising was definitely a life changing decision. A decision I’m not entirely certain was all mine.

Years back, a position at Brewer Direct seemed to fall into my hands, and I remember feeling pride, knowing I would have a small part in helping those in need, but a hint of fear because I didn’t believe in God. A God I would hear and read about day in and day out, because naturally it came with the territory.

Starting as an account coordinator at Brewer allowed me the opportunity to have hands on experience with clients and integrate my 15+ years of experience working with data and reporting, but most importantly, it allowed me the opportunity to welcome God into my heart and be made new.

Leaving Brewer was no easy step by any measure, but in time it led me to work here at Delia Martin, which God knew would be a perfect fit, allowing me the flexibility to really focus on Him.

I’m truly blessed to be a part of this growing company and can’t wait to see where God takes us.

Jill Mendenhall 1969 – 2019

Jill had over 17 years of experience in all aspects of direct mail fundraising, including list selections, overseeing all mail and print production, database conversions, and providing direct client support to the agency.

Prior to joining Delia Martin Agency, Jill worked as the Client Support Supervisor at Brewer Direct for 11 years and as a Senior Account Coordinator at Grizzard Communications Group.
